Lab Lead (m/f/d)

We’re developing a revolutionary surface material based on hemp residues called LOVR. Biodegradable. Plastic-free. Carbon neutral. The company was founded in 2021 after six years of R&D and we’re currently a team of 11 people. We work with multinational partners in the automotive, furniture and footwear industry to get our material to maximum global scale and impact.

You’ll lead our R&D activities in the lab and at pilot production scale. It will be your job to make sure that LOVR is constantly improved and fits our partners’ needs. Your responsibilities entail planning complex scientific research projects; conducting experiments and analyzing the results with precision and managing laboratory teams (consisting of other scientists, lab assistants and students).

You love hands-on R&D. You’re a curious mind. You take the initiative. You get things done. You’re a team player. You deeply care about sustainability. Qualifications: Master’s degree in Chemistry (organic, polymer, paper, or biochemistry) or Paper technology, or related fields, such as Materials science. More important than your academic background is your drive and entrepreneurial mindset. It would help if you already had some experience working with natural fibers.
